PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT

You can browse our website without providing personal data, however, there are certain sections within it where you can voluntarily provide your data. Your data may be collected in different situations, for example, when you decide to provide us with your curriculum vitae, when you send us an email, when you register to receive information of interest or to our newsletter, as well as those that you provide us with a view to establishing a legal relationship, for example, when you decide to hire our legal services or provide us with any service. 

Minors and the Incapacitated

 

Scientia is a firm committed to the privacy of minors and incapacitated persons; therefore, we do not intentionally collect or process personal data from minors and incapacitated persons without the express consent of their parents, guardians or legal representatives. If you are a parent, guardian or legal representative of a minor or incapacitated person and you know that you have provided us with personal data without their consent, you may request that such data be cancelled at the following e-mail address contacto@scientia.mx .

Nationality;

Unique Population Registry Code (CURP) or similar;

Federal Taxpayers Registry or similar;

Proof of compliance with tax obligations;

Conventional address;

Tax domicile;

E-mail address;

Fixed telephone number;

Cell phone number;

Your legal status;

Your line of business and commercial activity;

The amount of fees for the provision of our services. 

 

We do not collect data from public access sources or third parties for services.

 

Purposes

 

We use your personal information for:

 

Respond to requests you make to us;

Conduct the conflict of interest studies necessary to accept you as a client;

Prepare quotations and;

Provide you with the professional services you agree with us.

 

Transfers

 

We will transfer your personal data to third parties in the following cases and for the following purposes.

 

To the SAT and our invoice provider: We will transfer your first name, last name, last name, fiscal address, Federal Taxpayer Registry and the amount you pay us as fees for the provision of our services to the Tax Administration Service (SAT) and our electronic invoice provider in order to comply with the invoicing, tax declaration and payment obligations established in the Mexican tax laws.

To the Financial Intelligence Unit: We will transmit all your personal data (except your legal status) to the Financial Intelligence Unit of the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit to comply with the obligations established in the Federal Law for the Prevention and Identification of Operations with Resources of Illicit Origin.

 

To associated persons: We will transmit all your personal data to third parties that provide us with specialized services in order to provide you with the services you request.  

Authorities: We will transfer all your personal data to federal, local or municipal authorities, in case it is necessary to provide you with the services you request. 

 

These transfers do not require your consent in accordance with sections I, IV and VII of article 37 of the Law.

USE OF TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES

When you browse our website, certain non-personal information is collected through "cookies" and "server logs" or "web beacons". This information is collected through your simple use of and interaction with our website and the information collected may consist of Internet Protocol addresses, your operating system, browser type, location information (provided by mobile devices) and the route you take while on our site.

This data is collected solely for the following purposes: to generate statistics regarding visits to our site, time spent on our site, and referring sites that may have brought you to our site. This information is also used to maintain and update user profiles and to tailor or personalize the information provided through this medium.

It is possible to disable these tracking technologies in all types of browsers; however, as an example, the steps to disable them in Google Chrome are as follows: Go to the "Tools" menu; click on "delete browsing data", select the option "delete cookies and other site and plug-in data", click on "accept".
